emporia receives Plus-X Award for its latest smartphones

emporia Telecom has received the Plus-X Award for its latest two smartphone models.

emporia designs, develops and manufactures easy-to-use smartphones, tablets and feature phones. The company has received the prestigious Plus-X Award for its smartphone models; the emporiaSMART.5 and the new emporiaSUPEReasy. Both of these phones are tailored towards the needs of older people and are intended to make the transition from a push-button mobile phone to a smartphone, and the digital world, easier.

Both the SMART.5 and SUPEReasy have received three Plus-X Award seals of approval: High Quality, Design and Ease of Use – making six wins in total!

With an international jury of experts from 80 industries and more than 700 participating international brands, the Plus-X-Award is the world’s largest innovation award for technology, sports and lifestyle.

Chris Millington, Managing Director at emporia comments: “Receiving the Plus-X Award on these two smartphones is an honour and acts as a testament to the level of work that we put into creating the most accessible and high quality experience for older users. This recognition of our build quality and design proves that ‘simple’ and ‘easy’ do not mean ‘dumbed down’ or ‘worse’. We pride ourselves on creating easy-to-use environments within sophisticated devices that compete with top smartphones on build quality.”

The CEO of emporia, Eveline Pupeter, adds: “I am very happy about this award. The Plus-X Award once again underlines our company’s technology leadership in the field of simple telephony.”
