Uplands Mobiles Dominates Awards Season with Double Wins

Swansea-based telecoms and IT solutions firm, Uplands Mobiles, is celebrating after being recognised at its flagship industry awards.

The company, which has been in business for more than 40 years, has won one award and been highly commended in another category at the Mobile News Awards in London. The event, which has been a mainstay in the UK’s mobile industry since 1995, honours UK businesses for their exceptional products and services.

Uplands Mobiles has won the Best Customer Service Business category for the second consecutive year and has also been highly commended in the Best B2B Dealer category. The company, which is headquartered in Swansea’s Enterprise Zone, is hoping to continue its winning streak at next month’s Wales Business Awards, where it has been named as a finalist in the B2B Customer Commitment category.

Customer service has been a major focus for Uplands Mobiles, particularly since the Covid pandemic shifted the way most workers accessed their mobile and IT services with the shift to homeworking. Many of the changes that Uplands Mobiles made at that time have remained including offering customers a dedicated account team and single point of contact, expert technical support, a self-serve hub of information to avoid support delays as well as live chats, video calls, and webinar training.
