
SNS JU to Open Mobile World Congress 2025 with High-Level Session on Europe’s Digital Future
Barcelona, 3 February 2025 – The Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU), a key public-private partnership driving Europe’s 5G and 6G innovation, will set the stage for Mobile World Congress 2025 (MWC25) with a major opening session focused on the future of Europe’s digital infrastructure.
Titled “Digital Infrastructure of the Future: Shaping Europe’s Competitive Edge,” the session will take place on Monday, 3 March 2025, from 09:00 to 10:15 CET at the Marconi Stage (Conference Stage A) in Hall 6. The event will bring together top executives from leading telecommunications, technology, and industrial sectors to discuss the transformation of digital networks and Europe’s strategic role in the next era of connectivity.
Shaping Europe’s Digital Leadership
The session will highlight Europe’s comprehensive strategy to remain at the forefront of digital transformation. Discussions will cover key trends, including:
- The shift from transmission-centric to computing-centric networks – evolving from traditional data highways to intelligent computing systems.

- “Digital Infrastructure in Practice: Use Cases for Europe’s Industrial Competitiveness” – Executives from Deutsche Bahn, automotive, logistics, and port industries will showcase how cutting-edge networks are driving European industrial innovation, fostering collaboration between network providers and key vertical industries.
