
British Science Week: Discovery Education Provides Digital Resources To UK Schools Igniting Curiosity In Stem
As British Science Week gets underway, global edtech leader Discovery Education is providing UK schools with dynamic digital resources to ignite pupil curiosity in STEM learning.
Taking place until 16th March 2025, British Science Week is an annual celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM). The theme of this year’s event is Change and Adapt, and Discovery Education’s new resources will provide fun and engaging ways to encourage young learners to explore how science can help us to adapt to our changing world.
Available via the award-winning digital learning service Espresso by Discovery Education, the resources have been specially curated to help schools observe British Science Week. From exploring space and real-world phenomena to getting hands on with real-life science experiments, the curriculum-matched content covers a wide range of exciting and engaging topics.
Suitable for pupils from EYFS to KS2, the British Science Week resources provide teachers with a range of inspiring content to bring STEM learning to life.
The resources include:
- British Science Week Mini Lessons – helping teachers explore the theme of this year’s event with their pupils and consider the impact of science on our daily lives
- Science Lessons and Videos – new content engaging pupils with practical science, including a series of Hands-On Activities videos plus 50 new lessons exploring topics such as light, the water cycle and plants
- Real World Phenomena Jr – showcasing compelling natural phenomena, this video series encourages pupils to work scientifically to grow their understanding of science
- DoodleMaths by Discovery Education – filled with 40,000+ interactive exercises, the award-winning primary maths app builds numerical reasoning and problem-solving skills, giving learners core skills they can use in the classroom and beyond
