CityFibre Doubles Customer Connections in Q3 as ISP Sales Surge

CityFibre has reported record growth in customer connections during the third quarter of 2025, adding 108,000 new connections – almost double the 58,000 achieved in Q2.

The company now serves around 730,000 connected customers, a milestone achieved as sales through its Internet Service Provider (ISP) partners continue to accelerate. The momentum follows July’s landmark move by Sky to launch services over CityFibre’s nationwide network, adding to a line-up of ISPs that collectively reach about half of the UK broadband market.

CityFibre has also completed its 10Gb XGS-PON upgrade ahead of schedule and launched a 5.5Gb wholesale product, which it claims strengthens its position as the UK’s wholesale provider of choice.

Financially, Q3 2025 delivered revenues of £43m, up from £34m a year earlier, and an annualised run rate of £172m, up 26% year on year. Adjusted EBITDA climbed to £7.6m, more than five times higher than the £1.4m reported in Q3 2024.

CEO Simon Holden said the company’s momentum was proof of its wholesale model:

“Our rate of customer growth has real momentum, with our ISP partners making the most of CityFibre’s market-leading services and growing across our full fibre network.

We are proving the strength of CityFibre’s wholesale business model as we reach an inflection point, with our recent financing providing the firepower to significantly expand our reach through acquisitions and bring world-class digital infrastructure to people, businesses and communities across the UK.”

In July, CityFibre announced £2.3bn in new financing – including £500m in equity, £960m in expanded debt facilities and an £800m accordion facility – which will fuel acquisitions, network expansion and further market consolidation.
